I am 40 years old.

I’ve lived different lives, had many different experiences.  I’ve made terrible decisions and better ones.

Today, I define myself as a candle maker, business owner, and truth teller.

I am 40 years old.  As I grow older, I grow more confident in my intuition.  My advice to you is to trust it.  Trust that feeling and do what it tells you.

I am 40 years old and I still have struggles.  But I am getting better at learning what is most important in my life.  Raising my son is an act of creativity just as arranging an artful piece on top of a candle.

I am 40 years old and I know today that my friends are incredibly important to my sanity and feeling not alone.  I read books with them.  They help me.  They give me love.

I was gifted with a sister who embraces me, she knows my faults very well and still meets me with humor and laughs at the craziness of it all.  What a golden gift she is to me.

I am 40 years old and I have a 7 year old son who loves to drum and loves to make highly sophisticated jokes, he makes me laugh.

I am 40 years old and I have a partner who know how I can become sad and yet he still tries to be present with me.

I am 40 years old and my parents and Nick's parents are still with us.

I am 40 years old and my son has many cousins that are his friends.  How lucky is he.

I am 40 years old and I know that meditation, yoga and journaling help me function.

I am 40 years old and I write not because they are genius or life changing words, but because they are mine in this moment.
